Cornwall, the base for smugglers years ago...
...now offers log cabin holidays amidst wonderful scenery.

Cornwall is one of the few UK regions where palm trees grow and
thrive in the outside air, other areas being Devon and the west
coast of Scotland near to where the Gulf stream passes the coast.
The county has the reputation of being the wettest in England but
don't let that put you off taking holidays there because it is a
joy to be in Cornwall during the summer time.
The coastline is rock strewn and rugged, similar to Brittany in
France to which it was joined so many thousands of years ago, and
to which the Cornish people still have a strong affinity with the
Bretons across the sea.
This is a great place for holidays as couples or in family groups
where you can stay in one of the many log cabin parks which have
sprung up all over the southern counties, but if you prefer a little
more solitude there are masses of owners who have the odd cabin
or two for rent during the summer.
Apart from the natural beauty of Cornwall it has some other attractions,
namely having probably the best surfing beaches in the UK at Newquay,
and also the area around Looe is famous for shark fishing - even
if you have to go 40 miles or so by boat before you cast cast a
rod.

Log House Holidays: Island Lodge, Moondara, Monty's Retreat, Elsa
and Lake Springs House are traditional Finnish log cabins set on
a private, secluded 100 acre lake. They make the ideal venue for
secluded romantic holidays or an alternative to the standard Cotswolds
holiday cottage.

Buzzards Nest is a brand new and hand built log cabin, designed
and built by the owners Marina & Simon who live close by and
who rent it out for holidays. The cabin itself is set back into
our privately owned woodland area, it gets its name from the nest
that can be seen in one of the trees there.
